The MI-LIFE Program has been providing a valuable professional learning opportunity for over 550 school administrators in Michigan. This program was developed as a result of a generous grant from Microsoft Partners in Learning to the Michigan Department of Education. Because of the success of the program and based on evaluations and feedback from those who have participated in the first three cohorts, a fourth cohort of MI-LIFE will be offered beginning in August 2010 through March 2011.
The program will consist of six (6) face-to-face sessions and one (1) online course with intersession assignments between the face-to-face sessions and will be conducted at six different locations around the state.

- Kent ISD
- Lansing School District - 2 Groups
- Wayne RESA - New Administrators
Successful completion in the program can result in 18 SBCEUs or approved University credits and, if eligible, an administrator endorsement.
The fee to participate in the entire MI-LIFE program is $1200 plus a small fee for processing SBCEUs if desired. Several ISD/ESD/Districts are subsidizing the tuition fee for individuals. Please check your selected site for more information. Endorsement applications are handled by the administrator professional associations and the Michigan Department of Education and the process for obtaining an endorsement may include additional fees.

- SBCEUS - At the time of registration, you must register and pay $30 for the administrative cost for 18 SBCEU. Do NOT wait until the course is completed and wonder what happened to your SBCEUs.

The 18 SBCEUs are awarded in units. Credit is not given for partial completion of a unit.
Unit 1 –9 SBCEUs - Building Leadership Sessions 1 & 2 and Intersecting Data Sessions 1 & 2.
Unit 2 – 9 SBCEUs – Aligning Systems online, Culture/Capacity, and Instructional Supervision.
- University Credits - If you want University credits, you must make arrangements with Central Michigan University. The information is available at the first session of the MI-LIFE Program. You cannot earn SBCEUs AND University Credits.
- Attendance - Attendance at all sessions (or made up at another location) is a requirement. This includes completion of the online course. Failure to do so disqualifies you from earning SBCEUs, Endorsement or Certificates of Completion.
- Performance Assessments - Each course requires a performance assessment assignment that must be completed in addition to attendance to be considered for successful completion of MI-LIFE and for credit.
